How Marko Helped Me Get My Creative Groove Back « Kreaty's Blog

In the view of the everyday world – and his of own design- Marko is perceived as eccentric, out-there, local color, the wizard-man. People and professionals see him tinted in pathology. I can tell you that his full color is the entire spectrum of creativity.  For two years, Marko and I have been getting together in the neighborhood spots that know him well, the BBC for beer and fish fries, Whole Foods for cocoa, cookies and the internet, but mostly in the Art Ark. We both had agendas for our meetings; my agenda was to explore Marko's life for my studies in psychology and creativity, Marko's agenda was to "weed his garden" and share the At-mo-sphere of Spirit and Family he created on the third floor loft of a historic building. Marko won: The exploration of everyday creativity as a factor of resilience in a troubled life doesn't hold a creative candle to the awakening that our encounters and the experience of the Ark of Art have realized in me.

Yesterday's meeting made clear to me the instinct of his creativeness. Helping Marko move his Art Ark to the internet, for reasons to be discussed another time, I witnessed his process as he viewed and chose photos of the Art Ark and words to include in the blog I started for him, a glimpse at his immediacy to the headwaters of his creativity. This type of raw, unfiltered, creative thought cannot be taught; years of formal study in creative domains could only at best allude to this elusive source of creativity.

Another might interpret the display of his creative process as thought disorder, or within the bipolar or schizotypal spectrum. If so, it is what it is. More significantly, Marko has chosen, or been chosen, to suffer the  wonder of living within the heartbeat of creativity – not a spot for the faint hearted.

So I am going to share in this blog the creative awakening our collaboration has engendered  and connect to the transformation of his creativity we are capturing in his blog (http://treemenduus.blogspot.com/) as the Art Ark moves from the third floor to the Cloud.
