Ok, I'll play along.
It's a BEATLES branded iPAD (like the U2 Branded iPod from years ago).
Number 9, number 9, number 9, number 9, number 9
I'm guessing, in that case, that it only comes in white. ;) (Only the real Beatles fans will get that one.)

This is great news!
So more and more people will finally realise that running Mac OS X only is far, far, far cheaper, more stabile and less troublesome.
Way to go Microsoft, we love you! Please make Business Edition three times more expensive too, make software registration five time more complicated and annoying as hell, include more ironcurtain restrictions, so people can buy more and more Macs.

I'm not digging this. I think it will be too hard to hold onto being that thin and the prospect of pad charging leads me to wonder how on earth you go about charging it in a car? Doesn't sound very convenient. Not to mention, how long of a battery life could this thing possibly have?

I want to know why the 3GS screen is missing the Game Center icon...
Are they showing a 3G instead of a 3GS?

Why? I'd love to buy some Beats headphones. Like the style of it.
if you buy headphones for the style, you shouldn't be buying pairs that cost three digits.

you guys are really reaching ... Osama Bin Laden is as big as they come as far as Terrorism goes ... that is a fact.
I'm glad you get to decide what facts are facts. I guess someone has to do it.
It's true he's big. A big figurehead.

802.11n isn't due for ratification until 2008. There is a "Draft N v 2.0" due out next year that is supposedly close to what 802.11n will be but there's no guarantee anything will work until the final spec is released in 2008.
Yep, but the new iMacs are shipping with 802.11n's installed. Plus I'd imagine that Apple has its own standards about being compatible with its own stuff (iTV, etc).

Judging by the progression in the poll numbers, looks like FUD is gaining traction.

How did they find out that she's a transgender? It's not like women's restrooms have urinals...
They said "Why are you talking to my man?" to a transgendered woman in a women's "restroom"?
Does not compute.
Why not?

Anyone considered how this (technically) will work? How will the iPod detect where your hands are?
This seems to be a refinement of what the iPod and touch pads have been doing all along. Right now those can detect your finger through an insulated plastic layer, and even through clothes on top of that.
The main difference here would seem to be in smarter software that can do something useful with smaller changes in the electrical fields.

This is exactly why I turn 3G off on my iPhone. The reception in Edinburgh is appalling - I walk around the city and my phone is constantly skipping between GPRS and 3G. And sometimes it'll just say "No Service" until I turn 3G off and it forces GPRS connection.
I think the iPhone has really outlined the flaws and poor reception that carriers have in some major areas.

Me too. Given the theme i was already picturing myself as the marquee artist of the production ;)
anyway, the situation right now is:
eldiablo: 4 (dontpanic, chrmjenkins, aggie, ucfgrad)
chrmjenkins: 1 (jav)
not voted yet: Lbro, eldiablo
not much room to maneouvre for eldiablo, except in deciding who to infect (if he hasn't done it already).
so tomorrow should be 4 vs 1 (or 5 vs 1 if the hunter is successful). with everyone with equal chances of being wolfized.
it's like starting a new game, a tricky one with two shots at finding the wolf
I wasnt the one who held up the night, since I gave my scan request to intell early, so Im guessing one of the hunters is either not playing or not participating enough. Anyway, Id appreciate the hunter protecting me from whoever gets infected.
Feel free to recommend who you want scanned.

Good so.
It's the return of the Mac, Steve Jobs said it so, so let's focus on Macs now and iPhone in second plan for this year at least; it's already a huge success, so...
I don't think Apple can continuously afford to do that though. Everyone can see that Android is making a stand and a strong one at that. Improving market share more than others still while some are even declining. Spec wise, Android phones are the highest on the market with quite a few dual core handsets out right now.
I'm personally waiting for the Galaxy S 2 to hit the states so I can upgrade to that.

1) Not really. The current quarter beat expectations. The worry is about the coming quarter.
2) iPod sales are not dropping. Unit growth rate was lower.
3) MacWorld announcements really don't matter.
4) Define spectacular.
5) Lower than who expected?
6) The China market issue is unresolved.
7) iTunes is not a major profit center for Apple.
8) Possibly, but see above.
9) Possibly, but see above. And this is also old news, which did not hurt the share price when it came out.
10) Apple's margins were way up in the quarter.
11) This is true.
Bottom line: It's not always possible to rationally explain why the market does what it does on a short-term basis.

I never said I wasn't going to buy/drool over this mystery product.
I'm just not going to be impressed.
Why would you buy a product you're not impressed with? "Man, this iPod sucks so hard. *drool* I think I'll buy it!" Is this some kind of new teenage lingo? :D

Not surprising the iPhone 3GS was #2.
This is the real data. How are the actual phones selling... That is why when people try to convolute Android vs iOS on phones only it is silly.
Apple is dominating the smartphone markets with their individual products. Opening up to Verizon has taken away one of Android's advantages in the US.
All 4 iPhones are in the Top 10 of smartphones sold since the iPhone came out. In fact they are probably all in the top 6 or 7.

Yeah, this is stupid! I see no reason for Apple to release their own television set.
As a few others have mentioned, I could see Apple license iOS or AirPlay for integration int the sets manufactured by others.
And the current generation AppleTV is more then powerful enough to support the rumored video streaming service. If Apple does release this service (low cost subscription) I will be one of the first to signup. (Good Bye crappy Hulu+).

Sounds to me like the real insecure one here is maclaptop, if thats the mindset you have going on concerning phones and image.
My Mac Laptop is secure, Lion told me so ;)

Are you guys for real?
I'm not really into apple or apple products, but there is no big mystery behind the string ix.Mac.MarketingName (except for 'Mac', that is)
'ix' is and object or a variable in whatever programming language they've written this in.
'Mac' and 'MarketingName' are either methods or keys (in a hash) belonging to the 'ix' variable/object.
Let me illustrate with a simple javascript/JSON variable:
var ix = {
