I'll bring my systems back online 24/7. I kinda got tires of the locked up core on my macs so I fold only on my pc laptop during the day.

I tried last weekend to get started again on my MBP. I use the InCrease client, and that thing just sat there, refused to clear out old stuff and get a new unit. I am having difficulty even reinstalling it and having it start from scratch.
What do you guys use?

Apple will be stupid, make their TV the same shape as the others and be sued by everyone.
Funny how it is. Apple is ultra successful, makes tons of money, and still cowers out of fear.

For me, the biggest news is the 3GB of RAM and 200GB of disk that's available now--frankly the 2GB in my MBP-CD (Core Duo--how are we going to distinguish them now?) is a bit anemic, especially for running Parallels and PowerPC apps simultaneously.
(At least I'll finally get my boss to order one, so I can play with one of the new ones....)
Edit: Can't seem to add the new 15 to my shopping cart from the edu (College/University Proposal) store--just get:
"Your session has timed out after a period of inactivity. Please return to the Store Menu to continue shopping." I can add other items to the cart from that store, so it's just something that's screwed up. Sigh. Guess I should just go back to bed and wait awhile!

I've been trying to find the "brochure wizard" (specifically the flexible page/quadrant location feature) that you talked about in MS Word (I have the latest version and updates). I would find it very useful, but can't locate it. Can you tell me how to find it?
Well to be honest I was referring to the windows version of Word. I use Office 2003 on Windows and Office 2004 for Mac. I am not sure if the Mac version of word has the same plug-ins.
On the windows version. Go to file -> new and select the publishing tab. From there select Brochure. It will fire up the wizard and template if you have these options loaded.

Care to explain why? From what I've seen (as someone who's used Leopard and not just looked at screenshots), it's a huge leap in many subtle ways...
People seem to want new gadgets and gizmos yet the most requested changes are subtle improvements to current features like grid spacing in the Finder and simplified backup... What do you want...?

No real surprise here. Apple has been charging for MobileMe. Why not this service.

Given the mediocre performance of MobileMe, I think if they work the bugs out of the Cloud Based Storage Service it's easily going to command around $200 per year.

i was running -8, should i be running -16?
spotlight shouldnt have been an issue-- it had been on for hours and theres no user accounts on it. raid wasnt on yet.
not stressing too much about it. it's nice to replace a bunch of random machines (especially imacs) with one big producer that actually has a big fan and is designed to get rid of heat fast. those imacs get so hot i get scared for the components. we've had several go out recently. the fan hole on the back is so small its almost comical. apple can't have a fan on the back thats bigger than the logo! it can't have a hard drive light or a cd eject! that would ruin the aesthetics! can't replace the harddrive without suction cups!! needless to say i hate imacs.

Most of these Mac attacks seem to be more predominant with social engineering hacks and user error, than comprised code.

Because if you order one now you'll get an email back saying there was an unexpected delay. Inventory is drying up at best buy and amazon. Other threads here on the macrumor forums show that supplies are shrinking all over the world and distributors have no stock.
