Looks like you do a fair bit of typing on that thing!
My old one started looking like that but then Apple replaced it with a new one. I bought a keyboard cover. Not because I hate shiny keys, but because hair and stuff was falling in the keys.
My keyboard on my White 2006 MacBook would get like that, and then the top case would crack and would be replaced. It didn't stay like that for long...

Would you rather have the Libyan people (who have called for help!) slaughtered by Gaddafi?
Historical observation: The Iraqi people never asked for US help, but there we were.
As I've said we need to finish existing world combat projects before starting new ones. Or is it like Bush/Cheney said, "who gives a damn about debt?"- just the average citizens who will lose their pensions, health care, I suppose...

I went to BB yesterday and I saw the Grip Vue, but I was disappointed that they only have sharp colors. What happened to the colors from the 2G/3G??

Hello,
As was already mentioned this feature just deletes (and only apps from the Mac App Store it seems) not uninstalls an app along with its related files. To find out more or to ask any questions just visit my site below. All the best!

Curious to see some statistics on this.
yes indeed. i have looked at some high quality SSD drives and bought one from other world computing for fairly low price but is fastest SSD i know of, and the guaranteed lifetime data storage expectancy reaches well over 200 years and the read/write rates remain constant for roughly the first twenty. i think he had it backwards. HDDs lose their magnetic charge after a while and your data fades away and gets corrupted.

I knew it didnt support mirroring but thats my bad. I have an iPad 2, but i was told at Apple the hdmi cable won't work with iPad 1. Guess they should read up a little bit.
Their retail and tech support folks are not too familiar with it yet. You have to do some reading to catch that. I tried the Digital AV Adapter with my iPad-1 and it worked for playing movies -- only problem is my HDMI TV does not support HDCP which means it registers as an unauthorized device to playback fairplay movies -- this TV was made when TV's were first starting to get 1 HDMI input -- still I think they should fix that since my Apple TV does not have a problem with that television.
Either way, since I have the Apple TV and AirPlay, I can't see using the adapter for that function.
Yeah that's the reason why I returned my cable. My TV is across the entire room. I would need a 15ft HDMI cable for it to work. But this looks pretty awesome.

Or, you can check the image url, see that it's an image from Amazon, search Amazon for "messenger bag", and it will be the first search result.

True, but it's a lot of fun to occasionally leave the house! :D

Ground up rewrite = a whole load of bugs.
It'll be interesting to see how many shops use this for production work when it's finally released.
Depends on how long and wide the beta goes.

Comparing the prices of the new iMacs and the Mac mini is absurd. The killer
feature of the mini is its form factor. Wake me up when you can use an iMac
as a file/download server placed in your desk drawer.

yeah hopefully by at least the 26th or the 12th. but by speculating that it's going to happen the following week hasn't worked for anyone yet
Anyone speculating it would happen before about now was on crack. Go to a site like Apple Insider, they don't make the "every week" predictions like Thinksecret does. A shipment of minis came in the fifth, my guess would be that they won't announce them at the event (but maybe I'm wrong), but will just do a press release a few days after.

I dont get why people are saying we will get updates to MacBook Pros/iMacs, what will they be updated with?. The Core 2 Duo chips are still the newest chips from intel. Santa Rosa is yet to debut.
I dont see any updates to them im afraid at MWSF. Maybe we'll see the ultrathin MBP but i highly doubt it...The GPU Radeon X1600 in iMac is one year old now. It was launched Oct 5, 2005 by ATI. It would be a minor but yet important update.

Just maybe, we can hope Apple will finally release a "normal" desktop computer. My older iMac is failing and I so much hate to have to toss out a nice, working 24" LCD display because of a problem with a graphics memory chip.
I'll likely build a Hackintosh so as to prevent this problem in the future. That is unless Apple finally sells computers that can be repaired for less then the price of a new computer.

^ depressing but true. desktop computer hardware taking a back seat to iphones :( sad day
having been to CES, it's about 100x cooler than macworld i must say. it may just be the perfect forum to drum up more business
well apple isn't showing up to macworld anymore, right?

Currently, prices of Xeons seem to hover between $500 and $1000. And note: these are RETAIL PRICES for consumers! Apple's prices for those CPU's would be considerably less. So I don't see Apple having any problems offering quad-Woodcrest for under $4000. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if we saw quad-Woodcrest for under $3000!Gee I hope you're right. Quad MacIntels For Under $3k Would Be A Miracle. Thanks for the heads up.

Might get an Infinity or Lexus later this year but this car has been extremely reliable and saved me a ton of gas money since I got it!

I lost my 160gb and I've been waiting for a classic update to buy. There's no chance I'll buy until it updates with a 220 drive so I can put all my videos and music. Let's go Apple!!

I think this is a glimpse of what will be achievable with AirPlay technology. visible controls on the device, and maps like in this case, with the gameplay pushed to big screen thru :apple:tv2

As far as I know the "App Store" trademark hasn't been granted to Apple yet, therefore Amazon can use it for now. On the other hand Apple just cannot sit there and do nothing about it, they must deffend the trademark they are trying to register even if it hasn't been registered yet.
They should also be careful with their quotes in their financials. Tim Cook in the last conference call basically gave Microsoft and Amazon ammunition when he said things "We have the largest app store", making the term quite generic and descriptive. This doesn't help their case at all.

zune is so crappy that they have to put cardboard models out so people don't get frustrated and smash the huge brown booger on the floor. went to target the other day and they don't even have a working model. how am i supposed to see if i like the new gigabeat... i mean zune if i cant play with it? plus what the eff is with the menu button??? On my ipod i can get to my geners without even looking. Just push menu like 5 times and then one click and a quater scroll. one more click and scroll to the bottom. then bam reggae:cool: with the zune if you push the menu...or back..or what ever the hell it is called, when your in the main menu it goes back to the last thing you were doing. i got stuck in a fm/main screen loop which made me laugh at first but the i just got fed up and walked away. how the hell is someone supposed to drive and listen to this thing? I like the "ooooohh, shinnnny" feel of the os but it's lack of organization and usefullness quickly subvert this inital feeling.
lol if i had one i would have this as my screen saver http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r75/odduwon/Picture5.png PC: " ooooow it's sooo blue." :D
it's funny how much using a zune is like the design of the logo. so comlicated just to make a little square man with a cheezy graident paint job pat his head and rub his belly. ;) http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r75/odduwon/zunelogo1.jpg:
