Israel: It’s Not Our Fault Protesters are Dead Because We Shot Them- It’s Syria’s and Iran’s « Zwinglius Redivivus

Passing the buck and blaming people who weren't holding the guns or firing them seems more than a little dishonest.

Thousands of Palestinians marched from Syria, Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank toward Israeli border positions on Sunday, hurling rocks and surging across one frontier before the Israeli army opened fire, killing at least 12 people and injuring scores.

But lest Israel be responsible-

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said the demonstrators were challenging "the very existence of Israel," and, in nationally broadcast remarks, he pledged that the country was "determined to defend our borders and sovereignty."

Really?  The very existence of Israel is threatened by protesters?  That means that Israel is extremely fragile and weak because protesters haven't destroyed any country in the Middle East, they've only toppled tyrants.  But maybe that's what Bibi is afraid of.

Some Israeli officials pointed a finger at Syria and its ally Iran, accusing them of instigating the protests to deflect attention from the deadly repression of the anti-government demonstrations in Syria.  The chief army spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, said Syrian and Lebanese troops had failed to hold back the demonstrators, who had arrived in busloads from Palestinian refugee camps.

Or maybe Israelis are blaming others in order to deflect attention away from the oppression of the Palestinians and the brutal murder of 12 protesters.  When protesters die in other countries Americans cry out in anger.   But not this time.  This time they'll just buy the Israeli line and say 'well those filthy people were trying to destroy Israel and they got what they deserved'.  Or at least that's what the Christian Zionists will say.
